    Meet Our Providers

    Lewis Hatten, MD, Vascular Surgery

    Dr. Lewis Hatten is a vascular surgeon at Hattiesburg Clinic Vascular Specialists. He received his medical education at University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed an internship at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., where he also served a fellowship and his residency in surgery. Dr. Hatten is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has professional affiliations with James D. Hardy Surgical Society, American College of Surgeons, Gulf Coast Vascular Society, American Medical Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, South Mississippi Medical Society and Southeastern Surgical Congress.

    Daniel Smith, MD, General Surgery

    Dr. Smith received his graduate degree in biomedical engineering from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., where he also served a general surgery residency. Dr. Smith served a general surgery internship at University of South Alabama Health System in Mobile, Ala. Dr. Smith is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.

    Gabriel Hurtado, MD, Infectious Disease

    Dr. Hurtado received his medical degree from University of Caldas in Colombia. He completed his residency and an internship in internal medicine at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, N.J. He also completed a fellowship in infectious disease at The University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. Dr. Hurtado is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a professional membership with the Infectious Disease Society of America.

    Jana Hoda, NP-C from Vascular Surgery

    Jana Hoda received a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Nurse Practitioner Studies from The University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson Miss., and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss. Jana is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The Mississippi Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International.
