    Our Services


    Perry County General Hospital offers the following services:

    The Doctors Clinic

    Services include family medicine, wellness visits, acute illness, and chronic disease management.

    Emergency Services

    Our Emergency Department offers health services 24 hours a day to patients of all ages. The department is responsible for immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency, for initiating life-saving measures, including chronic medical problems, minor injuries, and illnesses. The ED includes a total of 6 rooms and is staffed 24 hours a day by qualified physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff. Emergency and trauma cases that need a higher level of emergency care are transferred to Forrest General Hospital. Patients are transferred by ambulance or air ambulance, depending on the condition. 

    Infusion and Injection Services

    Infusion therapy is prescribed by a physician when oral medication is ineffective or inappropriate for a particular illness or patient. We provide outpatient infusion services to treat conditions including, but not limited to, dehydration, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, anemia, and osteoporosis. Our services include the infusion of intravenous antibiotics, iron replacement therapy, hydration therapy, and blood transfusions. Injections such as vaccines and other injectable medications are also provided.

    Laboratory

    Clinical laboratory offers a wide range of tests and services to meet the needs of the community.

    Rehabilitation

    Provides inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

    Radiology

    Provides inpatient and outpatient x-ray, ultrasound, CAT scan, nuclear medicine, and MRI.

    Transitional Care Unit (Swing Bed)

    Swing Bed Services are available to provide care to those individuals who need extended care beyond their acute care stay for physical therapy, nursing, and other skilled care.
