On Emergency Room Nurses Day, October 14, Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker presented a proclamation by the Hattiesburg City Council to Emergency Department nurses at Forrest General Hospital. Hospitals nationwide are celebrating Emergency Nurses Week, October 11-17.

COVID-19 may have people hesitant to seek emergency or medical help during this time of crisis. Forrest General Hospital wants the community to know its Emergency Room is open 24/7 and ready to help patients who are experiencing symptoms that might require immediate treatment such as chest pain, stroke or heart attack symptoms, broken bones, or other ailments.
