Forrest Health Bereavement Support Group Meetings Being Held at Asbury Hospice House

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (June 21, 2021) Helping those in the community who are grieving is the goal of the Forrest Health Bereavement Support Group. The meetings, which were put on hold due to the pandemic, have restarted and are held from 6-7 p.m., the first and third Tuesday of every month in the Asbury Hospice House dining room, 304 South 40th Ave., Hattiesburg. These meetings are free and open to the public.
The group was created to provide support and comfort for adults in the surrounding community who have experienced loss from the death of a loved one, whether a family member or friend. “This is not just a support group for Asbury Hospice House families, but for the entire community,” said Chaplain Ken Roberts, who also serves as bereavement coordinator.
Registration is encouraged, but not required. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6. For more information, visit bereavementsupportgroup.eventbrite.com. or contact Roberts, 601-288-2500.
