Forrest General Hospital’s Spirit of Women Kicks Off 12-Weeks of ’Tis the Season
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – (Ocotober 31, 2021) Forrest General Hospital’s Spirit of Women (SOW) has a gift for you this holiday season. ’Tis the Season is a partnership between SOW, Hattiesburg Corner Market locations and 12 local restaurants, that will have your holidays seasoned to perfection.
“We know this special holiday season isn’t complete without your favorite recipes; however, it’s important to remember healthy habits,” said Millie Swan, Forrest Health vice president. “This year, Spirit of Women wants to sprinkle cheer by sharing recipes from local restaurants, and offering healthy ingredient substitutions which can be purchased from your local Corner Market for a combined holiday treat. We are also offering a free Spirit of Women membership as our gift to you.”
’Tis the Season will kick off Monday, November 1, and unwrap a new recipe every Monday for 12 weeks ending the week of January 23. During this time, you’ll find yummy holiday recipes shared by 12 local eateries. At the various Corner Market locations around Hattiesburg, you’ll find flyers, SOW shopping lists and a display of ingredients which can help take your recipe from the page to the table. Featured restaurants will also post flyers featuring highlighted recipes.
Instead of the 12 Days of Christmas, Spirit of Women will provide 12 weeks of good eats! Restaurants participating include:
- Birdhouse Café
- Blu Jazz Café
- Depot Kitchen & Market
- Keg & Barrel
- Movie Star Restaurant
- Patio 44
- Strick's Barbeque & Catering
- The Front Porch
- The Midtowner
- Triangle Seafood & Poboy’s
“This holiday season everyone is coming together for our community, and we are excited and thankful to be partnering with these local restaurants and Corner Market for ’Tis the Season,” said Swan.
