Banda receives prestigious Seven Seals Award
On Thursday, May 3, Keerthi Banda, MD, was presented with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s (ESGR) prestigious Seven Seals Award.
The Seven Seals award, signed by ESGR National Chair, Craig R. McKinley, is presented for meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve. The award is symbolic of the seven services: Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve, and it is the broadest and most inclusive award given by the ESGR.
“It’s such a privilege and honor to receive this award from the military. My friends and family were all here so that just meant so much for me,” said Keerthi Banda, MD, hospital care service at Hattiesburg Clinic and medical staff at Forrest General Hospital.
September Wallace, ESGR Area 6 chair person, presented the award to Banda. Wallace also nominated Banda for the award.
“Dr. Banda has done so much for me and my family, especially when my mother was in the hospital and up until she passed away. I wanted Dr. Banda to know how much I appreciate all that she does, her moral support during my mother’s time in the hospital, and her support of me and other members of the Armed Forces,” said Wallace.
After being presented with the Seven Seals Award, Banda also signed the ESGR’s Statement of Support acknowledging her continued support for Guard and Reserve employees.
