Forrest General Hospital’s Department of Public Safety achieves re-accreditation
Hattiesburg, Miss. (March 5, 2016)– Forrest General Hospital’s Department of Public Safety achieved re-accreditation from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (MSLEAC) on February 17, 2016, for a period of three years.
“The professional excellence demonstrated by your department is not only a benefit to patients and visitors of your community but also serves as a guide to other law enforcement agencies in the state of Mississippi,” said Sheriff Billy Sollie, chairman of MSLEAC.
After an extensive review, including an on-site assessment, MSLEAC reported Forrest General Public Safety Department met all the required standards. There are currently 26 accredited Law Enforcement agencies in Mississippi.
According to the report provided by MSLEAC, “The assessment team found the Forrest General Hospital Police Department to be a professional, full-service law enforcement agency that provides a superior level of law enforcement services to the Forrest General Hospital properties.”
Forrest General Department of Public Safety Director, Wayne Landers, said, “I am proud of the men and women of the Forrest General Police Department and what we have accomplished together. They consistently demonstrate professionalism and dedication to our patients, visitors, staff and physicians. We are grateful for the support we receive from our Administration and the people in the Forrest General service area.”
