Forrest General Hospital to offer seminars on affordable, high quality health insurance

Series of free educational sessions to provide the community with valuable information on the Affordable Care Act

Hattiesburg, Miss. (October 12, 2016) Forrest General Hospital and Highland Community Hospital are hosting 3 free educational sessions in November to explain how those who are uninsured can qualify for low-cost health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

Information will be shared about the plans available, how subsidies can help lower your monthly premium, and how to enroll in the plan of your choice.

“We’re encouraging people in the community to attend one of our Educational Sessions to find out if they might qualify for Federal Subsidy to help pay for an insurance plan. We welcome the opportunity to share valuable information and assist uninsured individuals in applying for a low cost health insurance for themselves and their families,” said Pat Riley, director of insurance operations at Forrest General.

Sessions will be held in the Elm Room by the Forrest General Cafeteria at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, Highland Community Hospital’s Private Dining Room in Picayune at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 15 at 6 p.m. in the Forrest General Elm Room. For more information or to reserve a place at the event, call 601-288-4450, or register online here.
