Forrest General honors Nurses of the Year
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (May 13, 2016)– Forrest General honored its outstanding nurses during National Nurses Week celebrations, including Clinical and Non-Clinical Nurses of the Year and Nurse Leader of the Year.
At a reception held on Friday, May 13, for nurses hospital-wide, Clinical Nurse of the Year was awarded to Dawn Smith, RN, BSN, who works in Radiation Oncology.
Jill Cary, RN, BSN, clinical educator, was honored as the hospital’s Non-Clinical Nurse of the Year.
Pauline McGee, RN, BSN, patient care manager for Hospital Care Services, was honored as this year’s Nurse Leader of the Year.
“The outstanding nurses we have on staff at Forrest General are a source of great pride, and we are pleased to recognize these three nurses, as well as all of our nurses, during National Nurses Week,” said Forrest General Chief Nursing Officer, Micah Rehm. “We are thankful for their commitment and dedication in addition to their compassion and hard work in caring for our patients.”
