Forrest General Hospital Laboratory Services provides a comprehensive range of laboratory testing for inpatients and outpatients of all ages. In addition to serving Forrest General, our laboratory system also supports regional hospitals, clinics, and local nursing homes as a reference laboratory.
Our network of hospital laboratories ensures patients across the Forrest Health system have access to timely, high-quality diagnostic services.
Forrest General Hospital
FGH Clinical Laboratory is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the lab is medically supervised by board-certified pathologists and staffed by highly trained professionals, including medical laboratory scientists, technicians, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, technical assistants, and phlebotomists.
With more than 3 million tests performed annually, the laboratory plays a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

The Laboratory performs over 3 million tests per year, which provides the means for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

This manual is meant only to supplement the established existing regulations, procedural policies, SOPs and guidelines as set forth within the Forrest Health System, and by our regulatory agencies (CLIA, CAP, and AABB).
