Asbury Hospice House Hosts Lights for Loved Ones

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – (November 7, 2024) The staff at Asbury Hospice House hopes you’ll join them for their third Lights for Loved Ones. This event, set from 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, will provide members of the community an opportunity to remember loved ones during the holiday season by hanging an ornament on the Christmas tree.

Asbury Hospice House will place a large Christmas tree on the lawn of the South 40th Avenue facility. During the lighting ceremony at 6 p.m., those wishing to participate can place an ornament of their choosing on the tree in memory of a family member or loved one. Hopefully, this will rekindle great memories of fun times spent together. Those who can’t make it to the event on December 17 can drop by and hang ornaments at their convenience throughout the holiday season.

Plastic weather-proof ornaments are recommended as the tree will be out in the elements throughout the holiday season. Ornaments will not be returned, but will remain with Asbury after the holiday season.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served during a time of fellowship following the tree lighting.

Asbury Hospice House is located at 304 South 40th Avenue, Hattiesburg, just south of the U.S. Postal Service. For more information visit ForrestHealth.org/Asbury.
