The Healing Garden at Forrest General's Cancer Center
The Healing Garden at Forrest General's Cancer Center will offer patients, loved ones and visitors a quiet, outdoor space away from treatment areas. The Garden will be open to all, every day from dawn to dusk. Its purpose is to help reduce the stresses of illness and hospitalization. The Healing Garden encourages calm, comfort, relaxation. Here, you can spend times alone to think, rest and regain emotional and physical energy. It is also a place to gather with your family and friends to catch up with everyday life.
Spiritual Grounds at Pine Grove
Pine Grove Spiritual Grounds project, representing the organizations’ promise to positively affect lives. This unique project and piece of art exists through the dedication of Pine Grove and Forrest General to heal patients and families, as well as enrich the Hattiesburg community. As Phase I of the Pine Grove Spiritual Grounds, the Paul McMullan Plaza and sculpture will serve as the introduction to future elements of a spiritual sanctuary where art and nature converge. Future elements include a labyrinth, glass chapel, bell towers, water feature, fire pit and meditation area.
