Diego Alcivar Franco, MD

Diego Alcivar, MD, is a cardiologist/cardiac electrophysiologist with Hattiesburg Clinic and Forrest General Hospital.

Alcivar received his MD from Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed an internship and residency at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Ky. He completed a cardiology fellowship from Summa Health System (Neomed) in Akron, Ohio, and an electrophysiology fellowship from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has seven years of practice.

When not working, Alcivar loves water sports including wakeboarding and wakesurfing. He also enjoys pickleball, movies, and travel.
