Lauren Pierce, LPN is the bariatric surgery coordinator for Hattiesburg Clinic. She obtained her nursing license after attending Pearl River Community College. Lauren became our program’s bariatric coordinator in 2020 after working in pediatric mental health for over 7 years. She takes each patient through our surgery process by contacting insurance for pre-surgery requirements, providing pre-op surgery education, scheduling all bariatric surgeries, and sending in prior authorization/pre-certification for surgery approval.
