Forrest Health Scholars Program

Through our partnership with The University of Southern Mississippi College of Nursing and Health Professions, the Forrest Health Scholars Program provides nursing students with immersive, hands-on clinical experience in a real-world healthcare setting. Participants work alongside experienced nurse preceptors in dedicated learning units at Forrest General Hospital, gaining valuable patient care experience while exploring future career opportunities within the Forrest Health system.

Designed to bridge classroom learning and professional practice, the program offers mentorship, specialized clinical exposure, and meaningful opportunities to develop the confidence and critical thinking skills needed for success in today’s healthcare environment. Students gain firsthand experience in high-acuity settings while building connections that can support future careers with Forrest Health.
