Pearl River County Nursing Home Certified Nursing Assistant Class

The Certified Nursing Assistant class offered at Pearl River County Nursing Home is a five-week program focused on the direct care of patients. Offered multiple times throughout the year, classes are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students will learn to assist patients with basic needs, including eating, bathing, grooming, mobility, and more. Students will experience hands-on learning through clinicals offered on-site. The State Certification Test can also be taken in the skills lab.

Class Fee: Free

Additional Costs: Supplies required for the class are a textbook ($52), Ceil Blue Scrubs, notebook, highlighter, watch with a second hand, and non-slip tennis shoes.  Crocks are not permitted.  

Class Requirements: Students must complete the Forrest Health Human Resources onboarding process which includes a drug screen, background check, and reference check.

Contract Requirement: None. Students completing the program are asked to continue on for a minimum of six months.
