    As a healthcare facility, Forrest Health is compliant with the Mandatory Staff COVID-19 Vaccination Program as required by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).  All new hires/rehires must receive at a minimum, the first dose of a multi-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine and provide documentation prior to orientation.  Once on board, new hires/rehires must complete the second dose of a multi-dose vaccination within the timeframe outlined by the manufacturer.  All new hires/rehires must comply with the mandate unless granted a religious or medical exemption.     Nurse Intern Program

    Forrest General’s Nurse Intern Tech Program is a rewarding way for nursing students to begin their careers. The program provides an introduction to working in the hospital setting while attending Nursing School. If accepted into the program, Nurse Intern Techs are guaranteed a position upon receipt of a Registered Nurse license from the Mississippi State Board of Nursing. In addition, Nurse Interns earn an hourly wage with a flexible schedule as well as tuition assistance.

    LPN to RN Bridge Program

    Forrest Health provides opportunities for professional development and growth. For employees who aspire to move from a Licensed Practical Nurse to a Registered Nurse, we offer tuition assistance that helps bridge from one to the other. The LPN to RN Bridge Program is a partnership with Pearl River Community College and requires that you must be a full-time employee of Forrest Health for at least one year.
