    Forrest General Marketing and Communications and Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services bring home several awards from MHA’s Maggie Awards including Best of Show

     

    HATTIESBURG, Miss (December 4, 2018)- Forrest General’s Marketing and Communications Department was honored with several awards at the Mississippi Hospital Association’s 31st Annual Maggie Awards ceremony, including Best In Show Video. The awards were given at the annual banquet held November 8 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. This annual event is designed to recognize excellence in marketing and public relations efforts of hospitals across the state of Mississippi.

    Forrest General received a Maggie Award and the Best In Show Video designation for 100 Years Lived Well, a feature story about a LiveWell patient who celebrated his 100th birthday at the facility.

    The hospital also received Maggie awards for their social media campaign, I had cancer. Cancer never had me; a written feature about Robin Douglas, a breast cancer survivor, called Embracing the Journey; a postcard created for their internal flu campaign for graphic design; and the 2017 Forrest Health Annual Report.

    Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services earned a Special Events Community Service Maggie Award for their January 2018 event, Rebound: The Chris Herren Story, Raising Awareness about Opioid Addiction in Young Adults and a Special Events Fundraising Maggie Award for the dedication of the Meditative Labyrinth and Fire Circle, located on Pine Grove’s Spiritual Grounds, in May 2018.

    Additionally, Forrest General was recognized with three Awards of Excellence: their special event, Tutus at the Zoo, highlighting breast cancer awareness; Mommy Moments, the hospital’s mother’s day ad; and the internal campaign celebrating the facility’s 65th Anniversary.

    The Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) is the state organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. Over 100 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and their over 50,000 employees come together to form MHA. Through their representation and advocacy activities, MHA ensures that members' perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national and state health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates and judicial matters.
