Forrest Health Rebrands, Uniting Healthcare System Under One Name
New unified identity reflects more than 70 years of growth and a continued devotion to the people of South Mississippi
What began as a single hospital in Hattiesburg in 1952 has grown into one of South Mississippi's largest health systems, serving more than 600,000 people across 19 counties. Today, Forrest Health unveils a new name, visual identity, and brand promise designed to bring its growing health system together under one unified identity: Forrest.
"For more than seven decades, people have trusted us with some of the most important moments of their lives," said Forrest President and CEO Jeff Cook. "As we’ve grown, so has that responsibility. This new brand represents who we’ve become while honoring the devotion that brought us here."
Each of these hospitals and health care locations that people have known and trusted is adopting the new identity: Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, Jefferson Davis Community Hospital & Extended Care Facility in Prentiss, Marion General Hospital in Columbia, Pearl River County Hospital & Nursing Home in Poplarville, Perry County General Hospital in Richton, and Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown. This new identity will also carry across Forrest’s many clinics and care locations, bringing the entire health system together under one name. The names and signs will change, but the locations, providers, and services will not. More importantly, the commitment and devotion to caring for South Mississippi’s people is stronger than ever. Now with one name: Forrest.
The transition will make it easier for patients to recognize the hospitals, clinics, physicians, and services connected through one health system, and to know that wherever they see the Forrest name, they are part of the same network of care their communities have trusted for generations.
At the heart of the new brand is a promise reflecting what nearly 5,000 Forrest team members live out every day: to care in all ways, for all people, always. That promise comes to life through for life, a campaign that embodies Forrest's commitment to all patients through every season of life.
This fall, starting September 5, for life will take the field through Forrest's partnership with Southern Miss Athletics. When the Golden Eagles take the field at Renasant Stadium, known as The Rock, every player will wear a for life patch, a visible representation of Forrest's promise to the communities it serves.
“Forrest reflects who we’ve always been and where we’re headed together,” Cook said. “We are one health system, united by a shared purpose and a deep commitment to caring for the people of South Mississippi through every stage of life. That commitment has guided us for generations, and will continue to guide us forward. That is Forrest for Life.”
