Hattiesburg, Miss. (November 17, 2016) Forrest General’s Spirit of Women hosted Hometown for the Holidays featuring John David Williams and Master Chef contestant, Katie Dixon. The event was held Wednesday, November 16, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Bottling Company, 126 Mobile Street in Hattiesburg. These hometown celebrities presented an array of dazzling food and décor ideas for the holidays!
The program began with John David Williams beautiful holiday flower arrangements followed by Petra R. Schneider-Redden, MD, FACS, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Hattiesburg Clinic, to offer tips on keeping a fresh and youthful appearance throughout all the holiday stress. Katie Dixon challenged the audience to look within and appreciate their own God-given strengths and talents this season as she demonstrated some healthy alternatives to traditional, sugary holiday fare.
“It’s so important for women to take some time to enjoy themselves and learn new things. This fun, stress-free event featured all of the best tips and tricks for holiday cooking and decorating, and ladies got to hear it all while sharing a delicious lunch with their friends,” said Kathy Emmons Walker, Spirit of Women coordinator.
